We've been discussing Peace Industry rugs essentially in passing in our posts for years, but it's been a while since we've featured them exclusively. Well, it's about time we do because the new crop of felt rugs is nothing short of fabulous. And with these rugs, you can rest assured that they will be of top quality and made with sustainability in mind.

The thing that's great about these rugs (in addition to being lovely to look at) is that you can take them outside and hose them down and leave them to dry in the sun. With some of my smaller ones from Peace Industry, I cleaned them in the bathtub. They were actually immersed in a couple inches of water! I dried them off in some strong sunlight and they're as good as new. I hate when I can't easily clean stuff at home, like when you have to have something dry-cleaned. You can vacuum your rugs, but they'll still be dirty as hell -- the proof was in the black water in my bathtub. Anyway, very special rugs these are. I like her art, too, you can see it on the web site, I think. raken123 on Nov 17, 2010
