Soho has changed, but Mood Indigo's lockhold on 20th century vintage barware, dinnerware and art deco accessories remains. A small shop, the amount that Mood Indigo's owners, Diane and Bob Petipas, have stuffed inside will boggle you. For eye candy browsing, few other stores in Soho compare.

Nice stuff, but I second Frank -- get thee to ebay. I've seen some of the exact same items for a lot less money. Lucy on Dec 1, 2005

I love the stuff in this store, but boy is it expensive. I have a LOT of Russel Wright at home, mostly from eBay; there's no way I could afford to buy it here.

My beef with this store is that the proprietors don't trust customers -- they watch you like a hawk. I would browse there more often, and for longer periods, if I didn't feel my every move were being scrutinized. This is a turn off in any shop, but a really big problem here. Frank on Nov 30, 2005
