Not so Mini. To be honest, we long ago grew dissillusioned with the MoMA Design Store and felt it had lost its relevance as so many other shops sprung up with more creativity and more edge. We add them now to our Stores Guide because we love their new Muji section and want to know if others have been as ambivalent as us.

One of the saddest things is the deterioration of the MoMA store. Many years ago, it used to be that if you bought something there, it was beautiful, well made, functional, and able to bring tears to my eyes from the joy of acquiring it for my home. Well, I haven't been there for a long time, but with the stars still in my eyes, I bought a knife sharpener on line.
Arrives in the mail this dreary looking, gray plastic and lucite piece of skata that functions like the store's current sales staff sounds--very, very poorly, if at all. Aulaire on Oct 17, 2008
