We've never used a cleaning service in DC, but if we ever are in the market, Little Green Men is the first one on our list to try. In addition to the wonderful name and logo, we love that the company's stated goal is to "run a small, ethical and eco-friendly business that will promote healthier lifestyles"...

Wow. I just read Paris137's review and was waiting for a mention of Joyce's 'Ulysses." My goodness...there are reviews, and then there are stream of consciousness rambling episodes. My eyes hurt.
It's fine is she wants to post a critique- but that's a particularly nasty (and strangely personal) review. I don't normally post follow-up comments, but I feel the need to defend my own review.
Since becoming their customer, I haven't had any allergic reactions to cleanings in my home- the cleaners have become friends and people I genuinely respect, including the owner, who has never been anything but pleasant and professional. My experiences with hellogreenclean (and the experiences of the many friends I've turned them on to) have been excellent, and I think it's a shame this person seems hellbent on personal destruction. It seems really weirdly personal...emphasis on the word "weird." Spanky70 on Oct 23, 2009
We hired HelloGreenClean with high hopes of loving them till end of time! However, this was very short lived. The owner showed up with two girls to deep clean our more than 5000 sq ft home after having promised to bring three (and he left ten minutes later). The girls were very nice and worked diligently, but the job was just too big for only two people and, thus, was incomplete when they left. We emailed Johnny Irannejad, the owner, complimenting the girls on the work they had accomplished but asking that he come to inspect the results of our $400 deep cleaning as much of what he had promised would be done still remained undone; and we wanted him to see for himself. He flatly refused, saying he trusted his supervisor (one of the girls in our two-girl crew) and that he had not had to inspect a deep cleaning for five whole months. We found it difficult to believe that he would refuse our courteous request. We were brand new customers who were going to be on a bi-weekly schedule and ready to send our friends and family his way. Did no one ever teach this company about customer service? With no other way to go, (he had our credit card number), we sent photos of everything that had not been fully cleaned (ceiling fan, window sills, doorsills, furniture, shower stalls, light switches, etc) thinking that he would have to acknowledge the facts. Instead, he rudely ignored the photos, not even acknowledging their existence. We wrote again, requesting an appointment for him to send the girls back to finish the deep cleaning; but he insisted the job was complete and expressed his amazement that we would dare to suggest otherwise. He then informed us that if we chose to continue with HelloGreenClean, it would be at an increased rate and not what he had quoted after the thorough in-home inspection he had performed prior to our deep cleaning. We found Mr. Irannejad's failure to fulfill the promises he made, his total disregard for our concerns, his refusal to inspect his crew's work and his attitude to be rude, unprofessional and disrespectful.
