It's tough to find good help in this city.... so when we spied Jennifer's ad in our classifieds we pounced. A downtown gal, Jennifer calls herself a "professional, reliable, honest painter with experience," who does this on the side.

It is Jennifer, the painter, again. Just want you to know I am happy to do 1 or 2 room jobs. Prefer to work in Ben Moore or even better, Farrow and Ball paint. Will pass on my contractor's painting discount to you.
By the way, if you look up to the top of your wall and see a slow fade to a lighter color - bad paint job and a Manhattan classic from what I have seen. That is a painter who rolled on one or two coats (if you are lucky) and then cut (meaning corners and edges that have to be painted by hand) once, can look ok for awhile but then it fades. So always ask to have two coats, both rolling and cutting, whether you go with me or not. With me, that is a given and I will roll on an extra coat if there is enough paint; more coats, richer, longer lasting color.
Another thing: you have a new condo? They usually spray them with one coat. Feel the walls. Not smooth? Looks kind of pointillist up close? You may want a better paint job that protects and seals the wall, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. ogma on Apr 5, 2012
She did a great job on my kitchen. Went with her suggestion of painting semigloss up to an imaginary chair rail and then did the rest in eggshell. It looks better than I imagined and it is so easy to clean. Charmel on Mar 7, 2012
