On Apartment Therapy
One of our favorite places in San Francisco to shop for artisan chocolate is Fog City News. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary newsstand, but step inside, and it's a treasure trove of fine chocolates from around the world, including Vosges, Blanxart, Dolfin, and much more.

Fog City News is such a little gem. Tucked in right between a Starbucks and an AMEX office (if i recall correctly) on Market St - you could walk right past it if you weren't looking for it. It's a tiny oasis of sweets and zines - these guys have salvaged many a haggard afternoon for me. Super friendly and nice too, all of them.
