The song is true. No one walks in LA. We will get in our cars and drive 3 blocks if we need to; we are spoiled rotten when it comes to our automobiles and the space that we inhabit with them. we are fortunate to live in a semi-walking friendly area. A 15 min jaunt can take me to morning coffee or to Gap if we need a new white tee. Every once in a while we go off our beaten path and discover new things hence our meeting with District.

That not walking thing in California is contagious. I'm a New Yorker who didn't learn to drive until I was thirty. With 60 days of living in Los Angeles I realized I was driving to stores only two blocks from my apartment. It's wild. eddie on Sep 4, 2006
