My partner and I just purchased the LG washer/dryer to replace a GE stacked laundry unit and I have to say, I love it. It's remarkably quiet by comparison and although it does take considerably longer for a typical load of laundry to complete a dry cycle, the convenience of pushing but one button at the start to active a wash cycle from pre-wash to dry is phenomenal.
It's also wonderful to avoid a vent; the nuisance of sauna-like humidity extremes and heat dispersed throughout the apartment during a drying cycle are memories of the past! Unter den Linden on Feb 20, 2011
Does the LG work better than the Equator washer/dryer combo?
We have the Equator and quite honestly, I hate it. It's so noisy on the wood floor. It has a water leak that we can't track down. And to make things worse, no one will come out to repair one, except one company and they were worse than useless. We don't use our Equator any more, but I do kind of miss the convenience of an in unit washer. RoseCampion on Dec 10, 2009
