Thrifty. We have a penchant for thrift shops, have our favorites, and recently got told off for not rating City Opera Thrift highly enough.

Been here several times. I love this place for the little treasures I have found. But the one even better than this is the Vintage shop on 3rd btwn 23rd and 22nd next to Janovic. They have even cooler things from 30s and later...Overall City Opera is a cool shop where you may happen upon a lovely little treasure and I have. Artyinusa on Jan 31, 2007

i've not walked into the city opera thrift shop since a peeping tom watched me try on clothes in this shop.I filed a complaint with them to fire him, which eventually happened, but I still won't patronize this store even for the furniture.

as side note to beths' post, st. george-is great but the sales person i dealt with there was rude and not very knowledgable about the furniture. as a result, i did not buy anything.

i really love this little shop called marble hill thrift on 3rd and 27th. staff is friendly and they get a small but good selection of items. mango on Nov 15, 2005
