We are always impressed with Anthropologie. Their collection of antique and new dinnerware, glassware, curtains, bedding, rugs, lighting, hardware and furniture is beautiful, whimsical and colorful, like a French flea market. Their catalog alone is worth perusing just for the visual eye candy...

If an item has been sitting in the clearance section for a while (few weeks) I usually find a sales person on the floor and saysomething along the lines of "I like this item and noticed its been here for a while. If you could ask the manager if she or can take another XX% off of the sale price, I will buy it today." I always ask politely and have yet to be turned down. Seaside on Apr 10, 2009
