  • Fabricguru Fabricguru.com : This discount fabric shop has prices starting as low as $1.95/yard. Their inventory tends to be more traditional and they've got some nice upholstery basics. This Kaufmann Groovy Floral Drapery Fabric in Cocoa sells for $6.95/yard.
  • Amazon.com Amazon.com : This online megastore has a lot of brand names and popular designs, including Ikat upholstery, Amy Butler florals, and classic Waverly prints. This Amy Butler Paradise Garden Mint is currently listed for $13/yard.
  • Wonderfluff Etsy : A huge aggregator site for crafty sellers, Etsy has tons of fabric, including new and vintage designs. Liz Scott (who designed the fabrics in the main photo above) sells her work through the Wonderfluff Shop. (Shown left: Painted Flowers Quilting Weight Cotton Fabric, $8/yard.)
  • Ikeafrederica IKEA : They have a ton of bright, Josef Frank-ish fabrics. Most lines are affordably priced 100 percent cotton, like this Frederika Fabric, which sells for $7/yard. Unfortunately, most fabrics aren't available online — you have to shop for them in-store.
