Late last summer, I went looking beyond the usual sources for a higher quality market umbrella and found Dayva, a California company that distributes umbrellas to restaurants and high end garden stores. There's no fancy brand name here, just a really well made solid wood umbrella with a Sunbrella top that will last a long time. Sleuthing around, I found their big one, the 11 foot Ambrosia. You can see it here in our new garden at left and in this post.


It comes in a number of colors and is running a bit higher in price than where it was last August. If you're willing to only buy it in a color, I found it here for nearly $60 less - $419.90 with free shipping at Teak, Wicker and More.
